2018 Feedback and Evaluation
July 2018 Phenomenal Young Women feedback and evaluation:
- 100+ young women participating
- 15 x young women meet weekly as part of the Phenomenal Young Women leadership team and as a support space
- 2 x internship positions were created for young women to activate spaces in 2019
- 97% said they would participate if the activities are ongoing
- 90% said the experience helped them to have fun
- 90% said the experience helped them to feel good
- 79% said the experience helped them to feel safe
- 79% said the experience helped them to believe in themselves
- When asked if the event activities increased their confidence 76% rated it 5 out of 5 and 15% rated 4 out of 5.
- When asked if the event activities made them feel connected to community spaces 79% rated it 5 out of 5.
- When asked if the event activities made them feel a sense of belonging 79% rated it 5 out of 5 and 13% rated it 4 out 5
- Young women who never knew each other and would probably have never spoken to each other had the opportunity to connect and share.
- Shy young women who never participate in activities felt comfortable to participate.
- A young woman leading the flower crown making workshop was scared about no one being interested in her workshop. At the end, she stated she had run out of flowers because so many young women wanted to do her activity which made her feel empowered and excited.
- Young women leading the space stated they didn’t realise how much fun they would have helping other young women and talking with them.
